Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati is the first among the 3 rd phase of IITs, announced in 2014, to have its foundation stone laid in March 2015. It started functioning with the support of it’s mentoring institute, IIT Madras from the academic year of 2015-16. 

• Presently, it is operating from a temporary campus on Tirupati – Renigunta Road and plans are well underway to setup its own campus in the next 3 or 4 years at the site (about 530 acres) in Merlapaka Village, Yerpedu mandal, Chittoor District. A.P. 

• The academic programme was launched in August 2015 by admitting students in the B.Tech programme in the fields of Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

Detailed Eligibility and Qualifications

1. Assistant Librarian

Upper Age limit - 45 years
Pay band and Grade Pay  - PB-3: Rs.15600- 39100 + GP: Rs.6000/-

Qualification/Experience

i) Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/ Documentation with atleast 55% marks of its equivalent grade and a consistently good academic record. 

ii) Qualifying in the National Level Test conducted for the purpose of UGC or any other agency approved by UGC. 

• However candidates with PhD degree in Library Science shall be exempted from the eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.

2. Junior Technical Superintendent

Upper Age limit - 32 years
Pay band and Grade Pay  - PB-2: Rs.9300-34800 + GP 4200 /-

Qualification/Experience - BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering PB-2 01 years with 5 years experience

3. Junior Technician (Workshop) - 01

No.of posts - 1 (OBC)
Upper Age limit - 27 years
Pay band and Grade Pay  - PB-1: Rs.5200-20200 + GP 2000 /-

Qualification/Experience - Diploma in Mechanical Engineering of 3 years years duration (or) ITI in Fitter Trade with 2 Years experience in Mechanical workshop

4. Junior Technician (Mechanical Lab) - 01

Upper Age limit - 27 years
Pay band and Grade Pay  - PB-1: Rs.5200-20200 + GP 2000 /-
