World's Highest and Longest Glass Bridge in China
- China set to open world's highest and longest glass bridge. This weekend, the much heralded "world's highest and longest" glass-bottomed bridge will open to visitors in central China. It connects two mountain cliffs in what are known as the Avatar mountains (the film was shot here) in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province.
Israeli architect Haim Dotan
- Completed in December last year, the 430 meters long bridge costed 3.4 million dollars to build and stands 300 meters above ground. It has been paved with 99 panes of three layered transparent glass. According to officials, the 6 meters wide bridge, designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan, has already set world records for its architecture and construction.
